Como vs Fiorentina

Italy – Serie A

Fiorentina’s recent struggles were summed up perfectly last weekend, when they conceded a 94th-minute equaliser against Torino. Whether or not La Viola fully deserved to win that match is open to debate, but losing two points in the dying moments is never good for confidence — especially for a team already under pressure.

What is more concerning is that Fiorentina failed to beat a severely depleted Torino side, raising serious questions about their overall quality. They currently sit inside the relegation zone, three points adrift of safety, and performances have not shown enough signs of improvement.

Coach Paolo Vanoli, appointed in November, cannot point to injury problems as an excuse. Squad availability is good, yet Fiorentina still appear to be lacking cohesion and cutting edge. Facing an in-form Como side away from home represents another stern test.

Como, coached by Cesc Fàbregas, have been one of the season’s most impressive stories. The ambitious club currently sit sixth in the Serie A table and come into this fixture in excellent form. They have taken seven points from their last three matches, a run that includes an emphatic 6–0 win over Torino — the same team Fiorentina were unable to defeat.

In addition, Como recorded a convincing 3–0 away win at Lazio, before holding Atalanta to a draw in the last round. Strong summer recruitment has clearly paid off, and the squad looks sharp, well-balanced, and in top physical condition.

Prediction

Given the contrasting form, confidence levels, and overall momentum of both sides, it is hard to look past the hosts. Como are playing with clarity and belief, while Fiorentina continue to search for answers.

Inter Milan vs Juventus

Italy – Serie A

The second Serie A selection comes from one of Italy’s biggest fixtures, as Inter Milan host Juventus in a high-profile showdown at the top end of the table.

Inter currently lead Serie A with 58 points from 24 matches (19 wins, 1 draw, 4 defeats). They hold an eight-point advantage over AC Milan in second place and sit 12 points clear of Juventus. However, despite their dominant league position, Inter have actually collected fewer points at home than away, which is an important factor in this matchup.

Another key detail is the reverse fixture, where Juventus emerged victorious in a thrilling 4–3 win, proving they are capable of troubling Inter.

Squad availability could also play a role. Inter coach Cristian Chivu is working with a reduced group, missing Nicolò Barella, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and Denzel Dumfries due to injury — significant absences in midfield and wide areas.

Juventus arrive in Milan sitting fourth in the table, but that position improves to second place when considering only the last ten league matches. Since the appointment of Luciano Spalletti on 30 October 2025, the Old Lady have shown clear signs of progress.

They were unfortunate not to win their most recent fixture against Lazio, which ended 2–2, and recent results suggest a growing attacking threat. A 3–0 win over Napoli followed by a convincing 4–1 away victory at Parma highlights a team becoming more confident and clinical in front of goal.

Prediction

While Inter remain deserved league leaders, the combination of injuries, home-form trends, and Juventus’ recent improvement makes this a tricky matchup for the hosts. Including the draw provides valuable protection, and Juventus look capable of taking something from this game.
