Sasnovich has long been known for her ability to raise her level against elite opposition, even pushing Serena Williams to her limits in the past.

The main question mark surrounding Sasnovich has always been consistency across an entire tournament, rather than her raw talent or shot-making ability.

This matchup looks far closer than the rankings suggest. While Sorana Cîrstea brings momentum, experience, and positive memories from Dubai, the faster hard courts may not fully play to her strengths. Aliaksandra Sasnovich, on the other hand, enters the match battle-hardened from qualifying, confident, and with a proven track record of upsetting higher-ranked opponents.
