Wincanton Winners: I’m Sharing Two Hot Betting Tips Today
I’m somewhat surprised to see that Wincanton is racing, as it doesn’t take much for this course to become flooded. The ground will be testing, so bear that in mind when you’re scouring through today’s programme.

WINCANTON WINNERS: I’M SHARING TWO HOT BETTING TIPS TODAY
2:03 – THANKYOUANDPLEASE (13/2)
Despite being a 10-year-old, MUTLEY CREW has raced only 10 times. The mare won two of those races, both on testing ground. In her last start, she was only just touched off by BEGIN THE LUCK, but that gelding was well beaten next time out. While conditions should be fine, she looks beatable.
While he doesn’t win many, ATREIDES had won back-to-back races before being unseated last time out. My issue with the 8-year-old is twofold: firstly his new handicap mark, and secondly the track. In my opinion, he’s better suited to the likes of Plumpton and Fontwell.
Since switching to the Ryan Potter stable, CARRIGMOORNA ROWAN has become more consistent. Nevertheless, he may be better over hurdles, and he’s carrying two pounds more than his true mark.
THE BLUEBERRY ONE, making an early switch to chasing, catches the eye. Harry Denham’s five-times-raced 7-year-old ran promisingly on his return last year, and he’s bred to appreciate testing ground. All the same, I want to take a chance on another chasing debutant—namely THANKYOUANDPLEASE.
The Syd Hosie-trained gelding may have disappointed last time out, but that could have been down to unsuitable ground. Earlier in December, the son of AUTHORIZED won a 2m Leicester hurdle on heavy ground, during which he left the impression that 2m4f would suit even better. With improvement expected over fences, I believe there’s plenty of value in his current odds.

3:33 – JUPITER ALLEN (100/30)
Paul Nicholls runs two in this race. One of them is seasonal debutant TAKE YOUR TIME, who, in my opinion, is fully exposed.
The trainer is also responsible for early favourite LARGY POET, who returns to fences following a moderate 6th of 9 in a hurdle race. While the top weight will appreciate the easier ground, I can’t imagine him winning and expect his odds to drift.
Despite dropping in grade, one that makes absolutely no appeal is COLLECTORS ITEM. My issue with the gelding is that he’s paceless, and carrying a big weight over this staying distance will only make life harder.
I respect the chance of Kerry Lee-trained PIMLICO POINT, and I can understand why MY SILVER LINING is being well supported. That said, the Emma Lavelle-trained mare was disappointing last time out and hasn’t won for two years.
The one that stands out from the crowd is Chester Williams-trained JUPITER ALLEN. The 7-year-old loves to get his toe in and is only one pound higher than his last winning mark. The Lorcan Williams mount has won all four of his races on right-handed tracks and should get a soft lead today. With his excellent jumping and a nice racing weight, this looks a strong bet.
